Heeeere's Johnny!

Johnny's Diner located in Norfolk is definitely one of my favorites. I live in Olde Towne Portsmouth so I don't get a lot of opportunities to go out there, but it's definitely worth the drive. From the jukebox to the coffee mugs that look like there from the Civil War era, this place is definitely old school. I believe it's an all female staff as well, at least every time I've been in there, it's always been female cooks and waitresses. Before World War 1, the wait staff and cooks at restaurants were always men; but when all the men went off to war you started to see waitresses and female cooks popping up in diners such as this one. The employees seem to always have a good attitude, even though you couldn't blame if they weren't in the best of moods; they have to deal with drunks all night. When it comes to the menu, it's your typical american diner cuisine, but it definitely passes  my test : "Cheap, Hot, and Fast". I know, I know... That's what she said.
